The cat was one of two Siamese owned by the Verger, Charles Agneau, and Charles and I did the interment late one night. We carried a five-gallon plastic bucket, a bag of concrete and a marble slab up to the narrow walkway beneath the clerestory windows on the south side (California Street side) of the nave. As best I recall, it was at the third or fourth bay. We placed the cat into the space, mixed and poured the concrete and placed the marble slab. Charles' cats were named Catechism and Magnificat, but I do not recall which of the cats died. Before leaving, we offered several prayers from the Prayer Book. My best guess after so long a time is that this occurred around 1973 or 1974.Michael Craig Patterson, camohops@gmail.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32153239.post-40576046100638612232011-08-13T09:25:05.990-07:002011-08-13T09:25:05.990-07:00Interesting post.
